Forty-two enthusiastic cyclists embarked their journey by bicycle from Mahashakti Nagar Township, Kudgi to Almatti Dam through the lush green roads of Kudgi village on 20th August 2023.
Kudgi Employee Welfare Association (KEWA) organised a Cycling Expedition - Tour De Almatti 2023 with the members. The expedition was flagged off by Shri B. N. Jha, GM (O&M) & President KEWA in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Cyclist travelled through the interior village roads surrounded by serene nature the way of 30 Kms to Almatti dam built across the Krishna River. There were scheduled Pit stops enroute for providing required break & Refreshments for the Cyclist. All the forty two Cyclist successfully completed the Expedition with Fun, Focus & Determination.
Sixteen cyclists also embarked their return journey by Cycle itself inspite of extreme heat and mighty winds.
Shri. Vijay Krishan Pandey, HOP, Kudgi Congratulated all the cyclists and awarded them a shield on their special achievement in an award function. All the General Managers graced the Award ceremony.
Overall, it’s a ride of a lifetime for all the cyclists who have participated in the expedition.
